After having come back from our holiday in Nicaragua, here are some of the
latest news of Volleyball Philately:
- I found a strange cover from Australia, which says LOCAL POST in the
place where the indicium or stamp should be. Does anyone know if that
is a philatelic item or was it just made for commercial reasons ? Did
it have any postal use ? Any information is welcome ! Just click here:

- I can show you a scan of stamp BHUTAN
001b, although neither I nor my true friend Piet van den Berg could
buy it. Our "friend" James Smith from Norman, Oklahoma,
bought it seconds before the closing of the auction on eBay, something
which is not done between Volleyball philatelists. Unfortunately
it is not the first time that this "philatelist" shows that
he is not worth to be called so.
- There are two new matchbox labels from CHINA,
PR. Unfortunately I do not have any information about them. They
get numbers 010 and 011, respectively.
- There's a new postcard from FRANCE.
It gets num ber 002.
- I included the postal stationery card from the SOVIET
UNION which I presented on Jan 9, 2003 into the "related
stationery" section.
- I would like to present to you the new and international symbol for
self-adhesive stamps (thanks to Piet van den Berg):
