Dear friends !
I got a scan from my friend Luciano Calenda, one of the leading Basketball collectors in the world. On this scan you can see a postal stationery card from the former Soviet Union. It shows a wall painting or a mosaic with a sportsman and a ball. Luciano thinks that it might be Volleyball. What is your opinion ?

From this month onwards I will have a new section on my Homepage. It is called 'THE ITEM OF THE MONTH" and you can find a link to it on the left hand side.
In this section I want to show very special covers, stamps or other interesting items related to our hobby.
I also invite you to send me scans and descriptions of the most interesting items of your collection.
I hope that you like this idea as much as I do and that you will all participate in sending me your scans.

I added a stamp from PERU to the NO-Volleyball stamp section, as I think that many times it is mistaken as a Volleyball stamp. It actually shows shotput (the inclusion of this stamp into the se-tenant block of four is not very logical, as the other three stamps show ballsports).

Dear friends !
After a really long trip to Europe we have come back to Guatemala on Dec 29th, 2002. During this holiday in Europe I have worked a lot on this Homepage, adding lots of new Volleyball items. If you check my postings of November and December 2002 you will be able to find all the new stamps, cancels, Maximum cards etc.
During these two months I was also able to get a lot of new material and information. So stay tuned, there are some big surprises ahaed of us during the coming weeks.
