2002 02 22
  • Mauro Gilardi reports a shifted printing version of stamp PERU 002 (it gets number 002b).
  • A new colour trial from stamp NIGER 001 (it gets number 001i, all other numbers move one up) and a new artists print of stamp NIGER 001 (it gets number 001o).
  • He found one new tab from INDONESIA. You can find it on INDONESIA's stamp page.
  • There is a new proof from stamp MONACO 001 (it gets number 001e).
  • Mauro also found a new specimen of stamp MEXICO 008. It gets number 008b.

  • Mauro Gilardi reports a new printing phase of stamp GERMANY - GDR 004 (it gets number 004f).
  • He also informed about a nice printing variation of stamp URUGUAY 001. It gets number 001c.
  • There are also two new tabs from Colombia. You can find them on the stamp page of that country.

Two very interesting varieties of stamp HUNGARY 001 were reported by Mauro Gilardi. They get the numbers 001c and 001d.

2002 02 18
  • A new version of stamp BRAZIL 003 with a perforation mistake was reported by Mauro Gilardi.
  • A new date of first use for meter cancels from GREAT BRITAIN was reported by Piet van den Berg (number 1.3.1.6.). He also proofed that numbers 4.1. - 4.3. are from the Scottish Volleyball Federation. That is why the numbering changes: 4.1. becomes 1.3.2.1., 4.2. becomes 1.3.2.2., 4.3. becomes 1.3.2.3. and 1.3.2.1. becomes 1.3.2.4.
  • Mauro also reported a new booklet from JAPAN. It gets number 007, the rest of the numbers changes accordingly. Look for it under "NEW ITEMS 1990 - 1999".

2002 02 17
  • It took a little longer than expected to be online again. But now I am back and will try to keep you up-to-date with the latest information.
  • Piet van den Berg informs about a new related meter cancel from the Netherlands. You'll find it under NEW ISSUES "2002".
  • He also informed about a new perforation version of COLOMBIA 001 (it gets number 001c). You find the details under NEW ISSUES "before 1990".
  • Mauro Gilardi informed about new dates of issue of the following cancels: JAPAN 296, 297, 299 and 308. Due to this information I had to change the numbering: 299 becomes 297, 297 becomes 298 and 298 becomes 299. Check it out under "JAPAN 2000 - now".
  • He also informs about a new cancel from JAPAN which gets the new number 258. All following numbers move one up. Look for it under "NEW ISSUES 1990-1999".
  • Due to new dates of usgae the following numbers change as well: JAPAN 269 becomes 267, 267 becomes 268 and 268 becomes 269.
  • The cancel oo1 from POLAND is NOT a commemorative but a cachet cancel. It was listed accordingly and the relevant changes of numbers were made.
  • There is a new variety of stamp BRAZIL 002.

2002 02 08
  • The commemorative cancels 005 - 007 from AUSTRIA were eliminiated.
  • Due to a computer problem I will not have access to my computer during this weekend. Expect the next update at the beginning of next week.

2002 02 07
  • A great find by Mauro Gilardi: There is a souvenir sheet from ANTIGUA & BARBUDA (004) issued in 1993 showing Volleyball. You find it under NEW ITEMS "1990 - 1999".
  • There is a new colour version of cachet cancel UNITED ARAB EMIRATES 003. 
  • There is another one from FRANCE 002. You find both under NEW ISSUES "Before 1990".

2002 02 06
  • A new Maximum card from Czechoslovakia was informed by Bernard Bergeret. You find it under NEW ISSUES "Before 1990".
  • Thanks to Mauro Gilardi I could add colour images of commemorative cancel CUBA 001, CZECHOSLOVAKIA 011, GREECE 007.
  • Mauro also sent a lot of information about different stamp usage dates. The most important one caused a change in the numbers of GERMANY FRG 009 and 010. What was 009 is now 010, and 010 has become 009. Also the date of HUNGARY 002 was corrected to 1977 08 13.
  • There is a new colour version of a Chinese cancel (015) and pictures of both manual and automatic cancels from Brazil 008, Cuba 002 and Greece 007.
  • We have added a second version of CZECHOSLOVAKIA 017. This cancel was used in 1983 and 1984 for few days only and for two different tournaments. Mauro thinks that it is correct to report them as two different cancels.
  • The cancels AUSTRIA 010 and 011 were eliminated.

2002 02 05
A great new find from Bernard Bergeret: A so far unknow Volleyball cancel from Australia from 1995 !!! You can find it under NEW ISSUES "1990 - 1999". It gets number 001, all other cancels move one number up.

2002 02 04
  • Thank to Mauro Gilardi from Italy we can list two new (old) commemorative cancels from the "United States of America". They get the new numbers 016 and 017, all other cancels move two numbers up (e. g. 018 becomse 020 etc). You can find it under NEW ISSUES "1990 - 1999".
  • Mauro also sent images of manual and automatic cancels 002 and 003 from "Yugoslavia".

I have started the catalogue of Maximum cards. So far I have added the following countries: Åland, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, China PR, Cuba, Czechoslovakia and France. You find them all under "MAXIMUM CARDS".
