  • I have found a new Maximum card from Yugoslavia as well as an old postal stationery entire from Bulgaria. Look for them in NEW ISSUES 2000 and before 1990 respectively.

I have finished the stamp section with all the countries starting with "A" (Afghanistan, Ajman, Ajman Manama, Åland, Albania, Algeria, Andorra (French Post), Andorra (Spanish Post), Angola, Antigua & Barbuda, Argentina, Armenia and Australia).

Regarding my question of 2001 10 22 (cancels from the Soviet Union) I received the following answers from our friends at OLYMPSPORT in the Czech Republic:
Dear Gunter !
Your question about two Soviet postmarks from 1964 is nothing problem and the answer is one only :
Both postmarks are not official commemorative postmarks of Soviet Post, but only private cachets of an organisation in Tomsk (I suppose that Tomsk´s Philatelic Club). I have three reasons for my opinion :
1. Postmarks don't show the obligatory text "CCCP", which must be on all postmarks from this time. 
2. Postmarks are not published in "Catalogue of Soviet Commemorative Postmarks", issued in 1973 year.
3. The reproductions shows small quality of postmark design.
I would like to thank our friends from OLYMPSPORT. I will put the two cancels into the "cachet cancel section".

  • There is a new stamp, commemorative first day cancel and Maximum card from Yugoslavia. Look for them under NEW ISSUES (2001)
  • I found an interesteing specimen version of the stamp Kenya 001. You can find it under NEW ISSUES (before 1990)
  • I have added the stamp sections for Åland, Albania and Algeria.

  • There are two new cancels from Japan. Look for them under NEW ISSUES (2001)

  • There are new items in the stamp section of the SHOP.
  • There is a new Cinderella issue from the United States dedicated to the Olympic Games 2000 in Sydney, Atlanta. It is another Artistamp by Steve Smith, similar to the 1996 "Naked Games" issue. Check it out in NEW ISSUES (2000).
  • I have finished the stamps - part of the catalogue as far as the Ajman section !
  • There are two new Maximum cards from Italy and Portugal, respectively - check out the NEW ISSUES page (2001 for Italy and 2000 for Portugal). I found them both on eBay.
  • There are two new cancels from Japan - check out the NEW ISSUES page (2001).
  • Our friend Mauro Gilardi from Italy sent me scans of three cancels from France which were not included. Look for them in the NEW ISSUES page (1990 - 1999)

 My friend Thomas Lippert from Germany discusses the fact that the two cancels you can see here might not be commemorative cancels, but cachet cancels. What is your opinion ? Does anyone have a cover where this cancel kills a stamp ?
