This stamp was issued with a se-tenant label at right (20 x 30 mm), inscribed "Sydney Athens", and was also available with the label replaced by a personal photograph.

This stamp sheetlet was produced by Australian Post. It was issued by the Chinese National Philatelic Service (CNPC) in form of an album called "Cast Glory". It contains 20 P-stamps (personalized stamps), showing different past Chinese Olympic gold medallists on labels attached to an identical base-stamp. For the first time in the production of P-stamps text was added to the label naming the pictured medallist.
Adding to the unusual nature of all these Chinese medallist P-stamps is the fact that an Olympic host country's postal administration created a special product for a foreign philatelic agency and market.
